Such a fun summer—can’t believe it has past . . .

And I have tons of pics to post.

Starting with my “Wild Women’s Weekend” away with my aunts and friends late in July.  This is a tradition one of my Aunts, Patricia, and her friends started 20 years ago!!! I have attended twice and it is always such a blast.  This time we rented a house in Lake Placid, NY.

Eileen and I rode over together.  We took the Charlotte Ferry and were first in line for quite the drenching.  Very exciting!

BUT SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! 

The weekend is really about friends letting lose without family obligations.  I can totally get into that.  And apparently crafting is also part of the tradition!  How perfect for me!  Eileen led our project on Sat. morning.  Gail and I helped her make a new stamp for the weekend and she also shared many more of her stamps.

We explored some close by streams.

Underwear! (And other crafty endeavors)

Apparently one of my favorite things to decorate are little boy underwear for Mr. Joseph.  I guess it’s because he always seems to like them!

These are little colored pencil holders.  Very simple to make and lots of fun.  This was a great project for me because it is quick and doesn’t need to be perfect.  I actually just had an idea in my head of what I wanted and then did my best to achieve it.  I tried to let go of it having to be perfect or of finding a pattern or tutorial.  And I was satisfied with the results (though do not look too closely!).  Also, sorry about the not so great photos and my way behind posting.  Things got pretty hectic around here for awhile!  Lots more fun pics to come.

What good taste

This is Joseph’s favorite video to watch on the computer.  I can’t even remember how he found it, but I think it is great!  Especially since this has always been a favorite of mine as well.  My senior quote was:

It is so cute to watch J sing along; he calls it “the man who is playing the drums” and knows every word and sound!

FAIR! FAIR! FAIR! Plus more August fun

Just hanging out.  J started drawing on himself saying he wanted to be “a dragon with fire” so I decided to help him out.

 

While I am living out my childhood dream of having kittens, Brad is indulging his inner child and his real-life child with go-cart fun.  Sometimes the neighbors join in the fun and let us try out their toys!

 

I’ve been working at Joseph’s school a little bit—here we all enjoy a craft.

 

 

FIELD DAYS!!! Always a highlight.  We spent two days there—the first with friends Lily and Asa.  Here they do a little activity and then get there very own ribbon

 

 

 

We watched this (not so great in my opinion) magician three times between the two days.  I guess J thought better of him than I.

We knew 5 of the peewees showing calves.  Here little Tanner (exactly J’s age and a schoolmate now and in the future in Shoreham) and Bubbah strut their stuff.  SOOOO cute.

 

RIIIIDDESSS.  I cannot believe Joseph rode and enjoyed the Dragon Roller Coaster all by himself (I was too cheap to buy myself a bracelet to get on the rides).  But, now I know J is going to be lots of fun to go on rides with (plus he is of course already tall enough to get on most of them).  Yay.  Too bad I get wimpier as I get older. 

We also celebrated Ben’s second birthday this past weekend at Branbury.

Now it seems pretty crazy!  Sorry about the 14 (!!!) swim lesson pictures that are totally repetitive and hard to see.  Geeze.  I was just REALLY excited.  .
