Riding the tractor over to the new house. A few of these pictures have already been posted I think, but I decided it would be fun to see all the May house pictures together.
(Mostly) finished the garage.
Checking on dad.
Beginning the house!!
Watching.
Starting the walls
Plywood
So pretty.
Silly boy.
Building the stairs
Joseph comes up with some interesting ways to entertain himself.
Who builds a roof all by himself? Brad. Crazy. I didn’t believe he could, but I should have known he would love the challenge.
Two nights later (remember he can only build nights most of the time since he works 5 or 6 days a week at his normal job). Roof with plywood on.
Working by moonlight.
Grandpa Bernie came over and helped with the shingles!
All plywooded and mostly papered.
LOTS of work went into insulating this place. Brad came up with all sorts of ways to super insulate.
Joseph does some building.
Sheet rocking the upstairs ceiling.
Birthday cake for Brad.
Caulking.
And that is how we went from nothing to a new house in the month of May. Brad is currently finished painting inside and out and putting in wood floors upstairs. Joseph and I just returned from a weekend with cousins in Hampton Beach. I also just had my 36 week appt.! Lots more pics to catch up on . . .

Wow it looks amazing! Brad is so talented!!
Ha... Gen totally posted the same thing I was thinking! I'm so glad I got to check out your new house while I was in VT... it's a beautiful home on a beautiful piece of land. And yes, Brad is very very talented and his work ethic is super intense!! (Um, has he really gained baby weight?? I don't believe you... I'm pretty sure it's muscle weight. I might have to switch my guess to "boy!") ;D
I looooove the location! That boulder is a perfect meditation spot. And I'm also super impressed with Brad; a roof by oneself is amazing!
Nice document, Ruth, thanks.
