Early September

Wow—at this rate I am never going to get caught up on pictures!

So, after moving on Saturday, Brad decided to have a yard sale on Sunday.  I vaguely participated.

Nora was 8 days old (7 if you go by what time of day she was born) and still wanted to sleep almost all the time, so it was actually pretty easy to hang out at the yard sale with her.  I even took a couple trips to the store and stuff like that by myself!

Packing up the old house.  Really strange to see your house of so long (7+ years—the longest I have ever lived somewhere since leaving Lincoln when I was 14) completely empty…

So, Nora was born on Saturday, we moved the next Saturday, and then that Tuesday Brad had laser eye surgery!  Part of the reason everything was so hectic was that I was expecting Nora to arrive before her due date--I guess it was just wishful thinking, but I really had it my head that she would be a week or two early.  Instead she was of course two weeks late.  Brad’s surgery had initially been schedule a week before my due date, but I had him change it.  Oh well—it all worked out.  Brad took about the most time he has ever taken off of work for all this (he didn’t work from Saturday until Thursday!!).  Our trips up to Burlington on Tuesday and Wednesday were kind of fun—atleast for me who didn’t have to have my eyes cut open!  But Brad is very happy with the surgery and still tries to convince me I should get it.  I have NO interest in unnecessary surgery, at least at this point.

First pink outfit ever at 10 days!!!  I was kind of weird about the whole pink thing…I guess I felt like I was preserving her innocence or something.

A visit from Jordyn!  We had a blast.  She was so thoughtful to remember a gift for Joseph as well as Nora and spent a large amount of her time tickle fighting with Joseph.  We all appreciated that!  (It was pretty hard on Joseph having me in delicate shape and then dad as well.)

When Nora was two weeks old my uncle Marc had a huge 50th birthday party.  I was nervous about the outing, especially since it was on the back roads of Richmond, which is unknown territory for me, but my two kids (still sounds weird) and I made it!

Some snuggles with grandma Debbie!  She is amazing with newborns!  Also, apparently the weekend before I forgot to hand Nora over to her.  Ooopss-I was all worried about Nora’s belly button at the time (her belly button continues to be our biggest issue—heal, belly button, heal!).

Ok, I admit it, she really liked to sleep! Still does, though not quite as much…
