Around the house . . .

My garden! So far I am having lots of fun with it and have discovered I actually like veggies when I grow them myself. However, the weeds are starting to grow a lot more and we are having some bug issues, so I might be sick of gardening soon . . .

My yummy lettuce.

The chicks when they were about one 1/2 weeks old. They were totally adorable living in our kitchen. We had one of every color: yellow, brown, black, and spotted. (I no longer name the chickens since we lost so many to Mr. Bobcat. However, they are now totally inclosed and we haven't lost any more in awhile, so hopefully they do ok.) The chicks are now so big they live in the coop with our one remaining original hen. They grow amazingly fast; between morning and night they grow more feathers!

Brad has worked really hard since the spring to clear out behind the house. The piles of brush are gone now and an excavator is coming soon to take out all the rocks.

Brad moving the shed yesterday. This was quite an ordeal. Now it is next to the garage and he is building a barn in its old place. He is all excited about getting some more animals . . . we shall see.

Hey Ruth! What a great post...your garden looks awesome! I can't wait to have a garden next year. Are the animals staying out of it? We have such a bunny problem.
LOVE the picture of Brad dragging the shed with a truck! Haha. We love our redneck men, don't we? ;)

Hey, JG, you and R were born in Lincoln, and--while there may be a bunch of millionaires now--it was a little different back then, so I don't think you can talk out of the side of your mouth about 'rednecks.' Now, me, I'm fronm the Philadelphia suburbs, so I'm different.

Best regards, JG, I hope everything's going OK.

Thanks Ruth, for showing the nice photographs.
