It has been really hard to photograph the kitties, but here they are!  Let me introduce you to, from left to right, Bixby (all black), Milo (funny asymmetrical white markings on face), Banjo (grey and by far the biggest), Adelaide (symmetrical white markings on her face), and Moxi (white nose and the bravest, she/he was the first to leave the nest and always the first to explore new places).  I have been having so much fun with my first kittens ever!  They were 5 weeks last weekend, which is apparently nearly grown in kitty terms.  They have a new bed/nest closer to the rest of the house (Margot had the babies in an extremely hidden out of the way place).  Mom often leaves the babies though and they even found there own little place (a basket of dishtowels).  They use their litter boxes (I have 4, 2 I made with short sides and 2 normal ones and I have to clean them CONSTANTLY).  They eat tons of wet food and now even eat moistened dry kitty food.  They are free to come and go throughout the house as the please.  Oh yeah, and I know their new homes will probably change the weirdo names I gave them, but it was fun ;-)

Some old pics from when they were just a week.

And more recent pics:

My big question now is, should I keep one?  And if so which—either Moxi or Banjo?

Finishing up August Pictures

I cannot believe how many pictures I have from August.  Here are the last of them!

I took a week off work after the end of the summer program.  One day J and I went up to the Echo Museum in Btown.  There was an entire underwater ship, complete with treasure, to explore!

Our favorite part was operating the robotic bugs!

And, a new dragon mask!

Another vacation day we met up with friends April, Megan, and Thomas for some apple and raspberry picking here in Shoreham.  SSOOOOOO beautiful!

April let the kiddos play in her car when they were bored with picking.

And this is how that ended!

That weekend we spent Sunday at the cabin (my grandmother’s house) in Lincoln to celebrate her 85th Bday (it would also have been Roger, my grandfather’s birthday, as well as their anniversary if he was still alive).

Looking good!

Headed out on a “paper chase:” a long involved game that we used as our diversion so we could get ready for the surprise part of Gram’s party.

Our desert spread!

Waiting for the birthday girl

Jenn & fam visit/ Alice & Ricky wedding!!

So, I know it took me forever, but I am finally posting pics from Jenn’s visit and Alice’s wedding.  My excuses are: most of you who actually look at this were there, plus I stole 1/2 the pics from Jenn, who is my most devoted follower, so I didn’t feel like there was that much new to share.  Anyways, it was tons of fun and so great to spend time with many, many old friends.  Thanks also for the pics Jenn and sorry I am such a picture slacker!

The busy and fun week started with Alice’s bridal shower on Lake Dunmore.

Joseph helped the girls for a minute

This was the first time J and Sophia got to play!

The next day we went to Jenn’s parents house in Lincoln to spend some time at the river.

Alice, Jenn, and I with Sophia.  The older generation (yikes!) all have been best friends since we were 4 or 5.  Amazing!

Afterwards J and I went to spend some time with Nora (greatgram)

Sophia and Jenn then came to visit us at our house.

J was very tired after all this playing!

Rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and rehearsal after-party ;-)  The wedding was at the Lincoln Church which we all attended throughout our childhoods.  The dinner was at Jenn’s house and  we had so much fun!
