Sweater #2!

and this took about 1/3 as long as the last (1/2 a year instead of a year and 1/2). I am really proud of this one! It looks MUCH better than my first.

I didn't have much luck getting Joseph to model it. First he told me I needed to add a pirate before he would wear it. Then I gave him a whole shpeal (sp?) about how it hurt my feelings he wouldn't put it on, since I worked SO hard on it, etc, etc . . . and he finally will wear it (nice to know sometimes I can get through to him). But he still didn't have any use for a photo shoot. Oh well. I just bought yarn for a sweater for myself (very scary) and am currently working on my first hat. Lots of fun!

***Update: Just after posting this I got a better picture as we were getting ready for story hour at the library:

Ruth, It's gorgeous! I love the colors you used for this one. Have fun with the hat. Soulemama.com has a great pattern that knits up in a few hours and looks smashing if you're looking for a fun afternoon project. And that kitten has gotten huge =D

Ruth, Travis and I both looked at your blog a couple of nights ago and saw the sweater and I forgot to comment...even Travis commented on how amazing the sweater is! We both LOVE the color and think it's beautiful! It's amazing that you made that yourself. Good luck on the sweater for yourself!

Thanks all! I love this pattern--it is the same one I did before, but I did some of my own little modifications. Hopefully I can stay motivated and do more knitting. The sweater I want to do for myself is the Shalom from Ravelry which I found through soulemamma. And is this Meredith from Lincoln? Great to hear from you! Alice-I am no expert at all, but I can try and help. The ladies at Knits and Bolts in New Haven are super helpful too. And Crystal--let's make it happen!
